Oliseh Rues Dropped Points Against Tunisia

Oliseh Rues Dropped Points Against Tunisia

By David Meshioye & Adeboye Amosu in Kigali:

Super Eagles gaffer coach Sunday Oliseh says he is not worried as Nigeria lost the opportunity to pick a quarter-final ticket in Friday's 1-1 draw with Tunisia, saying it hurt to drop two valuable points, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

The former Borrusia Dotmund midfielder expressed delight at his team's performance on Friday saying that Nigeria are still in contention to top the Group C.

Oliseh posited that lesson learnt on today's game will go a long to prepare his players for Nigeria's final group match against the Syli Stars of Guinea on Tuesday in Ribavu.

"I will describe our outing as two points lost, but I think my players gave their best," Oliseh remarked.

"We dominated the first half while they took over in the second half, adopting aerial balls, knowing fully well that my player are not as tall as they are.

"We played against a very tall side as compared to our team that is full of young up and coming players.

" We will continue to work hard. Of course, I know we are still in the pool and our last game will offer better performance," Oliseh said.

Nigeria still top Group C with four point and would need a draw against Guinea to guarantee a place in the quater-finals
