Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh appeared to be playing mind games ahead of Nigeria versus Tunisia clash on Friday when he declared the Carthage Eagles as favourites.

The former Juventus midfielder hinged his submission on the level of development the Tunisian league has experienced over the years compared to the Nigeria Premier League that is beginning to evolve.

He added that Tunisia boast top quality players who rather than go after the glamour of European football choose to stay back and help their league develop.

“The Tunisians are the favourites because they have a great league and players," Oliseh said. "I am not saying we are inferior to Tunisia, don’t get me wrong.

“The Tunisians press feels Nigeria has the big money to run football. I am not going to allow my players to be under undue pressure.

“We look at the FIFA ranking and we know where we are. My players are very young and we are taking it game by game
“I don’t want to burden my players or myself about the game, we just want to build a formidable team for our country and that is exactly what we are doing.”
