Olympic Basketball: Aminu Eyes Tokyo 2020

By Johnny Edward:

D'Tigers star Alade Aminu is looking forward to making a third Olympic appearance at the Tokyo 2020 Games, ‎Completesportsnigeria.com  reports.

Aminu who scored ten points, seven rebounds and provided two assists as the D'Tigers crashed 86-69 to Brazil in their final Group B game was overwhelmed by the massive support the team got during the tournament despite their inability to advance to the quarter-finals.

Aminu tweeted via his handle @Aminu_34 after the game: "Want to say thank you to all & Nigeria! For following and the unbelievable support. Unfortunately, didn't get to accomplish what we set out.

"But a blessing to be here in Rio 2016  Olympics.  And definitely looking forward to making another Olympics. God willing. Love."

D’Tigers earned their first win at the 2016 Olympic Basketball Tournament by creating the biggest upset to date in the competition with a 90-76 defeat of Croatia on Saturday night but lost to Argentina, Lithuania, Spain and host Brazil.
