Nigeria continued their good start at the on-going Africa Boxing Championship in Yaounde, Cameroon following victory for Efe Ajagba in the second session of the competition.
According to aiba.org, Ajagba, a gold medallist at the 2015 All Africa Games, defeated Uganda's Michael Sekabembe on points, in the super heavyweight category to progress into the next round.
It would be recalled that in the first session of the competition, Efetobor Apochi beat his opponent from Morocco.
In other bouts that took place in the second session, 2014 Commonwealth Games silver medallist Jonas Julius from Namibia beat Ghana's Jessie Lartey.
Christian Nembot Tawat from hosts Cameroon succumbed to Mahmoud Abdelaal from Egypt and Tunisia's Alaa Shili overcame Hamza Rabii from Morocco.
Also Zambia's Emmanuel Ngoma defeated Nesday Bakana Kombo of Congo, Surafel Getachew saw off Cote d'Ivoire's Yaya Kone while Algeria's Reda Benbaziz got the better of Sulaiman Segawa from Uganda.
