Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo is impressed with the team’s superb showing in Tuesday’s 3-2 friendly defeat against Spanish club Atletico Madrid, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The makeshift Super Eagles side comprising of few home home-based and some overseas based players stretched Diego Simeone’s men for most of the game and were unlucky to lose at the end of the day.
Young midfielder Kelechi Nwakali and former U-23 Eagles star Usman Mohammed also scored breathtaking goals for the Super Eagles in the encounter.
Nwakali’s well placed shot in the 32nd minute sailed into net past Jan Oblak, while Mohammed displayed great skills before placing his effort into the net.
Angel Correa, Fernando Torres and Borja Garces scored Atletico’s goals in the highly entertaining encounter.
“What a game yesterday 😱 I personally think we won that game 4:3 🤗,” Omeruo wrote on his Twitter handle.Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
