Super Eagles and Kasimpasa on-loan defender, Kenneth Omeruo, was named in Turkey Team of the Week for last weekend.
Omeruo was named alongside notable names like former African Footballer of the Year, Samuel Eto’o, who does now plays for Antalyaspor, and former Arsenal forward, Lukas Podolski, who joined Galatasaray this summer.
The on-loan Chelsea defender’s choice may not be unconnected to his solid debut performance for Kasımpaşa contributing towards his side recording a clean sheet in the 3-0 victory over Gaziantepspor.
On Monday, Omeruo was listed in coach Sunday Oliseh’s 18 foreign-based invitees ahead of next month’s African Cup of Nations qualifier agaisnt Tanzania.
