–Super Eagles defender says they are ready
Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo has said that beating South Africa in the March 29 international friendly match in Mbombela is a task that must be achieved.
Speaking in Abuja after watching the Nigeria U-23 Eagles side played out a goalless draw with their Zambian counterparts on Sunday, Omeruo said the Super Eagles will be gunning for nothing short of victory against the South Africans.
The Chelsea FC player who is on loan at Middlesbrough FC said that the Super Eagles are still pained that South Africa stopped Nigeria from defending their AFCON title in Equatorial Guinea while this game will afford them the opportunity to prove that Nigeria is a better side.
“We are looking forward to the game in South Africa to prove to them that we are not about to relinquish our domination of the Bafana Bafana now. We will go there and try to get a result. It is
going to be tough but I think we desire the game more,” he stated.
On Uganda, he said the Eagles would play them with all due respect because there are no longer minnows in African football, stressing that the Cranes are no push over.
Omerua who did not have a good game last time Nigeria played South Africa said he is in top shape and looking forward to the game like his other teammates.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
