Super Eagles and Middlesborough defender, Kenneth Omeruo returned to the starting line up in his team’s 1-0 away win to Brentford in the Championship.
The Chelsea loanee, who last featured for the Riverside team in their 2-0 loss to Ipswich on December 20, 2014 was booked in 16th minute of the game before midfielder Leadbitter scored the only goal of the game from the spot.
The coach Aitor Karanka led team are currently second on the log with 53 points, one point from table topper Bournemouth.
The 21 year old signed for Chelsea from Standard Liege in January 2012 and upon signing went on loan to Dutch top-flight side ADO Den Haag.
Then only 19, he impressed enough in the Eredivisie to earn a call up to the Nigerian national team.
Omeruo has represented Nigeria at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2013 Confederations Cup in Brazil. Omeruo cemented a place in the starting line-up at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations as it turned into a wonderful tournament for the Super Eagles and they emerged from the tournament victorious.
