Nigeria International Kenneth Omeruo had a winning start in his second spell on loan in the Championship with Middlesborough, playing 86 minutes in their 2-0 victory over Birmingham City.
Omeruo started the game on the bench but was summoned by Coach Aitor Karanka as early as the fourth minute after Ben Gibson went ut injured.
The Nigerian International, only had one training session with the team after completing his move two days ago, but he slotted easily into the back and his pairing with ex-Liverpool centre back, Daniel Ayala, ensured his team kept a clean sheet.
Boro were one goal up when Omeruo was introduced and his well timed tackle in the 65th minutes denied Lee Novak what would have been an equaliser for Birmingham City.Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
