By Adeboye Amosu:
Keneth Omeruo has expressed his regret following his withdrawal from the Super Eagles squad that will face Congo Democratic Republic and Cameroon in friendly games this month due to injury, reports completesportsnigeria.com.
The central defender pulled out of the friendlies after copping an injury while in action for his Turkish side, Kasimpasa.
The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner took to Twitter to express his frustrations.
“I will definitely miss being in the team and giving my best for both club and country for these two weeks I will be out of action.
“I want to wish the Eagles and my friends a successful outing… And thanks to my loyal fans for your messages. Happy Indepedence Day,” he wrote on his Twitter handle.
In Omeruo’s place, Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has invited Celtic of Scotland defender, Efe Ambrose, for the two games.
