Nigerian defender Kenneth Omeruo scored an own goal as his Turkish league club, Alanyaspor lost 3-2 at home to Fenerbhce on Friday night, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The 22 year old making his 19th appearance this season in the Turkish Super Lig, set his side back in the 31st minute of the encounter as the Yellow Canaries came from two goals down to record a famous win at the Bahcesehir Okullari Arena.
Goals from Fernandao and Aatif Chahechouhe sealed a 12th win for Fenerbahce who were without Emmanuel Emenike for the encounter.
With the defeat, Alanyaspor remain in 15th position with five points above relegation zone.
Omeruo is one of the 24 overseas-based players invited by Super Eagles Technical Adviser Gernot Rohr for the international friendly against Senegal and Burkina Faso later this month.
In Scotland, Efe Ambrose made his third appearance for Hibernian who defeated Dundee United 1-0 in the Scottish Championship. Jason Cummings scored the only goal of the encounter.
