Omeruo Sidelined From Middlesbrough’s 2-1 Defeat

Nigerian  defender, Kenneth Omeruo woes continue at Championship side Middlesborough   as he once again failed to feature in Saturday’s game against Nothingham Forest.

The Chelsea loanee failed to make the bench in his side’s 2-1 loss with Boro boss, Aitor Karanka sticking with Ben Gibson and Dani Ayala in central defence.

Omeruo  last featured for Middlesborough  against Sheffield Wednesday last month and it was  clear he  was  not at  his best and was warned by Karanka after the enounter to up his game if he‘s to reclaim his place in the team.

Karanka stated: Im very pleased with Ken because he is a special player for me beacuse he came here laste season and he improved a lot.

‘’This season he is not at the same level  and when you are not at the same level there are others who are ready to play.

The former Nigerian youth international was a success during his time in Holland with Ado Deen Haag prompting Chelsea to secure his services from the Dutch oufit.

He was insrumental in Super Eagles 2013 Africa Cup of Nations triumph in South Africa and also had a good outing with the three- time Africa Champions in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
