Nigerian-born Benin Republic attacker, Razak Omotoyossi believes the Super Eagles will miss Seattle Sounders forward Obafemi Martins at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
The 28-year old forward noted that the Stephen Keshi-led side has no proven strong striker aside Emmanuel Emenike in the squad as the World Cup comes too soon for the trio of Uche Nwofor Michael Uchebo and Michael Babatunde.
“The Eagles can only qualify from their group as it is now but if they have the unity that saw them winning the African Cup of Nations in South Africa, they can go far in Brazil,” says Omotoyossi.
“Aside Emmanuel Emenike, they don’t have any striker who can wriggle something out of nothing to get goals for the team. A player like Obafemi Martins would have been a perfect substitute for him,” he told Complete Sports.
Martins who scored a first-half brace in Seattle Sounders 3-2 away win at Chicago Fire before he was expelled for striking an opponent has scored eight goals in 15 appearances this season.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
