Super Eagles midfielder Ogenyi Onazi missed Lazio’s double training session on Wednesday raising doubts over his availability for Saturday’s league opener against AC Milan on Saturday.
Coach Stefano Pioli drilled the squad on their fitness in the morning before switching to tactical play in the afternoon at the club’s training ground in Formello with the Nigerian playing no part.
Onazi was left out of the Biancoceleste’s 7-0 win against Bassano Virtus in Sunday’s third round Coppa Italia clash due to a thigh muscle strain and is battling to be fit for the clash at the San Siro.
Also missing in the double session were goalkeeper Federico Marchetti, Abdoulaye Konko and Ederson Campos.
The former MyPeople FC player two pre-season games, bagging a brace in the Biancoceleste’s 16-0 win against ASD Sporting Fiumicino. Last season, he played 29 Serie A games and scored once.
