Super Eagles and Lazio midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has expressed his delight at returning to the national team after serving a two-match ban.
He was suspended after receiving a red card in the 2-0 victory over Chad in Kaduna.
The former Golden Eaglets star told Completesportsnigeria.com that his return to the national team has opened a new chapter in his career with a new manager in charge of the Super Eagles.
Onazi who is currently in Super Eagles Verviers Hotel camp in Belgium says paramount for him now would be to help return the Super Eagles to winning ways in the qualifiers in order to pick a Gabon 2017 Africa Cup of Nations ticket.
“I am happy to be back, it is like a new beginning for me because we now have new faces in the team," Onazi told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"Nigeria is a blessed country and I am proud to be back.
“I just want to give my best to Nigeria and help Super Eagles regain our champions status and God willing we shall get there.
"We have a great manager and all we need to do is work hard and pray for the best.”
