Super Eagles midfielder Ogenyi Onazi’s move to English Championship club Birmingham from Trabzonspor is in doubt as he has resumed training with the Turkish top flight club.
In the past few days, Onazi has been linked with a move to Birmingham City.
But according to Turkish daily newspaper Hurriyet, Onazi has been asked to resume with his teammates ahead of Sunday’s away game against Fenerbahce.
It had recently been reported that Birmingham had agreed a €4.5 million deal with Trabzonspor for Onazi’s services but the move was held up due to work permit issues.
Onazi, who has three years left on his Trabzonspor contract, was not in Trabzonspor’s squad who kicked off the new campaign with a 2-1 win against Imoh Ezekiel’s Konyaspor last weekend.
