Super Eagles star Ogenyi Onazi was the cynosure of all eyes at the team’s training yesterday as he did so well to attract attention from fans who were at the Abuja National Stadium to watch the team’s preparation ahead of Saturday’s 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan.
The match billed to hold in Khartoum is the third the Super Eagles will play in the qualifying series and the African champions are condemned to win the away match.
The Lazio midfielder who arrived in camp yesterday morning was praised by the Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi for the performance he put up in the training as the Big Boss charged him to do more when they face Sudan on Saturday in the qualifier.
“All the players are in high spirits and the coach was happy with the commitment they showed at the training mostly Onazi and I can see that the match in Khartoum is as good as already won,” says the team’s media officer Ben Alaiya.
Meanwhile, the Super Eagles are expected to depart the country’s shores on Thursday on a chartered flight as the match holds on Saturday.
