Onazi Targets UCL Spot, Ambushes Aquile

BY Johnny Edward:
Super Eagles midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has admitted that Lazio must win ugly if they are to get back to winning ways, and compete strongly a Champions League spot.

The Biancoceleste’s eight match winning streak was halted by Juventus last weekend. Lazio’s 2-0 defeat to the Old Lady on Saturday evening ended a spectacular winning run and came at a further cost as about eight players are ruled out for the visit of the Aquile.

Onazi who is poised to start his second game in 2015 with the trio of Marco Parolo, Lucas Biglia and Danilo Cataldi ruled out of Sunday’s clash at the Stadio Olimpico due to injury urged his teammates to be determined to win the encounter.

“The coach tells us that you have to play all the games as a final, if you want to become a champion,” Onazi tells Lazio Style Radio.

“So, we have to play them all (the last seven Serie A games) very well if we want to get to the Champions League. For me there is not an easy team in Serie A, just see how Juventus lost against Parma,”

“So on Sunday we must win with anger, determination and by force.”

Recall that When both sides met in November, the Aquile were haunted by former goalkeeper Albano Bizzarri who performed a string of excellent saves to earn the Verona outfit a 0-0 draw.

The Nigeria international has recorded 17 appearances in all competition this season.
