Victory for the Coal City Flying Antelopes will crown the Nkponkiti Giants winners of the 2015/2016 NPFL, and the drummer boys insist they will be present at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium to herald this dawn of a new era.

“We cannot wait to see this new dawn. For 32 years, we’ve prayed, we’ve fasted and we have waited for this day,” says Chief Linus Udeh, Grand Patron of Onitsha branch of Rangers Supporters Club.

“A child born 32 years ago is no longer a kid. He has become a man so you can see our long wait, our perseverance, traveling from here (Onitsha) to Enugu, week in, week out, supporting the team.

“We have made all necessary arrangements for Sunday’s event. We’ve mobilized our members. We’ve concluded our travel plans by hiring buses, yes buses, so as to hit Enugu in a big way.

“This is a moment of celebration. We’ve waited for this day and we can only celebrate it to the fullest.

“The governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi ‘GBURUGBURU’ has done well to lead this club to a new height, he deserves commendation. Just one year in office and he’s broken such a record,” Chief Udeh stressed.

Jude Belonwu, Public Relations Officer of the supporters club corroborated his Patrons position adding that winning the league for a record seven times is indeed worth celebrating.

“We won the league six times a long time ago and Enyimba came and broke that record. Now is our turn to join that club of ‘SEVEN’," he told Completesportsnigeria.com.
