Onyekuru Blasts Anderlecht Coach, Seeks Loan Move Elsewhere

By Adeboye Amosu:
Nigeria forward Henry Onyekuru has further reiterated his desire not play for Belgian club Anderlecht next season due to his poor relationship with manager of the club, Hein Vanhaezebrouck, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Onyekuru, 20, spent the 2017/2018 season on loan at the former Belgian champions from English club Everton.
Everton and Anderlecht reportedly have an agreement for the striker to stay for another season but he is not willing to remain with the latter.
Onyekuru copped a knee injury in a league game against his former club Eupen last December and, despite his impressive form prior to that which saw him score nine goals in 19 league games, he was not in the good books of Vanhaezabrouck who publicly criticised him at times.
He was also overlooked towards the end of the campaign despite featuring in some reserve games to prove his readiness to return to action.
“I go somewhere where I do get respect” Onyekuru told Belgian online news outlet, m.hnl.be,
“I was fit, but I did not play, so I will  not stay with Anderlecht.
“The manager (Vanhaezabrouck)  has not spoken to me for weeks.
“I know what he told the media about me. I heard  from the media that I was not ready.
“You do not treat a player like that  especially after working so hard in those months to return to action.”
The young forward has been linked with a move to Bundesliga club Borrussia Monchengladbach, while Turkish side  Besiktas are also rumoured to be interested in his services.

@Henry…..my brother, I understand your stand…I sincerely do!
My advise is this….in the future, don’t come out attacking your coach on the media….it will send a wrong message to other clubs about how you deal with issues!

just give your agent or representative a call and tell him to look for another club for you ASAP!!!

Before Anderlecht go know wetin dey happen sef, you don dey play for another top club….!!!!

Please learn to be wise in your choice of decision next time because it is the same news media that you talk to, that you coach talk to and na them dey make or mar people future these days….learn to watch what you say to media or what you type on your social media….above all, don’t make comments or decisions when you are angry, unhappy or being wrongly accused…..do a lot of thinking and when you talk, talk very little!!!

I wish you success in your future efforts!!!

@Prince good word of advise, my advise, go to Germany and learn good football than Turkey. You are young and you can still make next world cup, work hard to cement a place in a good league, not in a yeye league and want to play for Super Eagles, you can even work hard and grab a place in that everton, if not now next season, stop talking and focus on your future.

  • Prince and presh had said it all a word is enough for the wise. Bro Henry I wish you the best

    • Naso bro, God bless you, Pls Henry remain The Star that u are, u Know stars don’t talk but their brightness do the talking for them, u can be better than messi and Ronaldo with self determination, but being A Star is not by talking but by hard work, i want to see u at d top someday jst like Mohamed salah, God bless you bro and stay strong for the future, ur time will come

    • Lovely responses… Nice one Nse (Friday?)… Wishing you the best Henry, read and learn. We love you.

  • Henry said nothing wrong, he’s not talking too much anything!! even when he was being criticized after scoring goals, he said nothing… One can only tolerate so much and the young man is allowed to express himself. That coach purposefully screwed up his chances of making the world cup and you expect him to be happy? In my opinion SE needed someone like him on the LW with his pace and dribbling he woulda being very useful. It’s well I hope you find a new home soon henry and most especially I pray you get your work permit soon so you can begin plaing for everton!! God bless
