Onyekuru Set To Miss Super Eagles – Bafana Clash Over Injury

By Adeboye Amosu:
Henry Onyekuru is set to miss Nigeria’s crucial 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying away fixture against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa due to injury, reports Completesportsnigeria. com.

Gernot Rohr’s men will face South Africa at the FNB Stadium, Johannesburg in their 2019 AFCON qualifying matchday five encounter on November 17.

Onyekuru picked up the injury in Super Eagles’ matchday four encounter against the Mediterranean Knights of Libya in Sfax, Tunisia.

He came in as an 81st minute substitute for Samuel Kalu in the encounter which the Super Eagles won 3-2 courtesy of a brace from Odion Ighalo and a strike from stand-in captain, Ahmed Musa.

Onyekuru is expected to be out up to four-six weeks which put his availability for the South Africa clash in doubt.

The striker who is on loan at Galatasaray from English Premier League side, Everton was out for almost the second half of last season following an injury he picked up during his loan stint with Belgian club, Anderlecht.

    So sorry bro.

l am deeply sad to hear about this. Henry is a complete player in the team. Playing in a big stadium like the one in South Africa is where Henry excels. You see, he likes to run through the line and cut in to do the damage. Every one sew what he did in Liberia and at Uyo with his pretty run/cut he gave to Kalu to score the last goal against Libya.

I am always his great fan.

I wish you a speedy recovery Onyekuru. The coach of the Super Eagles should please have plan A, B and C because of this kind of situation.

    Anything can
    happen within a
    seconds and that
    is why Super
    should not rely
    on same old
    system all this

Argentina were relying on Messi for so long and we saw the result. Coach Rohr should talk to his employer that he wants to build another team that capable to play against any team.

The reasons he have to do this is because of injuries or lost of form of our players.

    Nigeria have so many good
    players we can choose from
and I don’t know why it
    took us
for so long to have a
    sound team like we used
to have before now. If we
    have two Onyekuru in
Eagles is not too much at

For example, We have Moses Simon, we also have Kalu. This is what we need in the team. However, we have Jamilu Collins and his partner should be Udoh. Two best player should be in one position. If I recall, we had Babayaro and also had Udeze. We had Finidi George and we also had Tijani Babangida. We also had Amunike and we we had Garba Lawal.

    Coaching job is very easy
if you hava a plan in place
    although, every job
    have its own challenging.
if you plan well, it will
    make life much easier.

That bn said, who is going to replaced Onyekuru also Indidi, against South Africa? let’s wait and see. This is going to be a mouthwatering debate from now on. No time to check time. This shouldn’t be an issue if we coach Rohr have a proper plan in his locker.
Happy weekend my people. God bless us all. God bless Nigeria!!!
