Super Falcons stars Francesca Ordega and Onome Ebi have hailed teammate Asisat Oshoala for winning the maiden BBC World Women's Footballer of the Year award.
The prize to the Liverpool Ladies' striker who is one of the stars to watch at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup which kicks off in Canada on June 6 was announced on Tuesday.
Oshoala's teammates and friends were ecstatic about the feat of their international teammate in their terse reactions while chatting with Completesportsnigeria.com.
"It is a well deserved honour. The sky is the beginning for her.
"I told you during the Women's Federation Cup final at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in November 2014(when Oshoala helped her former club, Rivers Angels defeat Sunshine Queens) that she will win more individual awards. We are all happy for her," Ordega, one of the stars of the 2014 African Women Championship remarked.
On her part, Onome Ebi simply said: "She is a motivation to the rest of the players. She'll be massive at the World Cup," the FC Minsk of Belarus defender stated.
