They were to play Mali in an Olympic Games qualifier last week, but the match was cancelled after the Malians pulled out of the tie.

This means the Falcons will now play some friendly games in Nigeria, before leaving for Canada where they are expected to play more friendly games.

Dike, who shone for the Nigerian U-20 girls, the Falconets at last year’s FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup also in Canada, is the latest to join the team.

Oshoala, who would have missed the Mali game had it been played as she was not released by her club, arrived late Monday evening, much to the delight of her teammates and coaches.

Meanwhile, the other player being expected is Francisca Ordega, who is yet to be released by her club in the USA.
