Oshoala, who had been sidelined by injury for over two months, returned to the Liverpool Ladies squad and featured for 44 minutes as a second half substitute in their 1-0 away loss to the Italian side on Wednesday.

"I am happy and satisfied with my performance considering the fact that I have been out of the game for almost three months due to injury. It is a pity we lost the game but I am sure we will bounce back," Oshoala told Completesportsnigeria.com on the telephone from England.

"We gave the game our best but luck was not on our side. We hope to bounce back by winning our remaining games and progress. Brescia were lucky to beat us, it could have gone either way."

Oshoala who missed Super Falcons Olympic Games qualifier against Equatorial Guinea due to injury regretted Nigeria's exit but expressed confidence that the Falcons will remain the best team in the continent.
