Oshoala: I Tried My Best

–Falconets striker hails performance despite World Cup final loss

Golden ball winner and top scorer at the just concluded FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup Asisat Oshoala has hailed her performance throughout the course of the tournament.


Oshoala who was instrumental to the Falconets match to the final, was the standout performer for the Coach Peter Dedevbo led side netting seven times in six games.

Commenting after receiving her awards, Oshoala who plies her trade with Rivers Angels in the Nigeria Women’s Football League, gave kudos to her team-mates for their performance.

The Falconets lost 1-0 to Germany in the final of the FIFA Women’s World Cup held in Canada.
The third place match went to France following their 3-2 win against North Korea.
