…Falcons striker clears air on education status
African Women’s Footballer of the Year (2014) award winner, Asisat Oshoala has rubbished claims she dropped out of secondary school at SS2 level, insisting that she completed her secondary school education in Lagos.
“To start with, I did not drop out of high school. I finished my secondary education in Lagos”, Oshoala opened up amidst suggestions by Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi that she should endeavour to complete her secondary school and even aim higher.
“I just temporarily stopped my education at Lagos State Polytechnic due to distance after moving from Lagos (FC Robo) to Rivers state (Rivers Angels).
“So I did not drop-out of Secondary School or stop my education plans. Above all, I really appreciate his (Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi’s) advice and would definitely go further to the highest level to achieve my dream in that area”, Oshoala told NigerianLeagues.com.
The 2014 African Women’s Players of The Year further said she only could not finish her tertiary education at Lagos State Polytechnic because of distance after moving from FC Robo of Lagos to Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt.
