By Johnny Edward: Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, is confident of getting regular playing time at Wolfsburg when the second half of the German Bundesliga season kicks off in January, Completesportsnigeria.com.
The 18 year old has been Wolfsburg’s third choice striker behind Divok Origi and Mario Gomez since the start of the current season.
Osimhen made five substitute appearances for Wolfsburg in the first stanza of the Bundesliga season.
Osimhen however refused to comment on his purported loan move away from Wolfsburg in January.
“I have been patient and now I am reaping the reward lately as I have been getting involved in games and not just sitting on the bench,” Osimhen began in an interview with Completesportsnigeria.com.
“It’s going to be better than this in the New year. Nothing is certain yet about a move.”
On his chances of making the Super Eagles 2018 FIFA World Cup squad, the former Golden Eaglet and Flying Eagles striker admits it will be tough, but remains hopeful.
“Its going to be tough. We have a good team and breaking into it will be tough.”
