National men’s basketball team captain, Olumide Oyedeji has described D’Tigers’ Olympic Games Group B as a tough one but confident Nigeria will qualify from the difficult group, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

The London Lions forward who spoke with Completesportsnigeria.com shortly after the draws were held at the House of Basketball in Switzerland on Friday said the Group B is more difficult than the Group A where Unites States of America will compete with Venezuela, China and Australia.

Nigeria has been grouped along with Argentina, Spain and Brazil and Oyedeji who captained D’Tigers to win the 2016 Afrobasket which automatically qualified Nigeria for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil said he was not new to the three countries.

“I must be honest with you, this is a very difficult group, but we will do our best to qualify though it is not going to be easy. We're not afraid of anyone,” the London base Nigeria captain said.

“The three countries are very good and they have good players all over the world just like Nigeria, but with quality preparation, I think we should qualify from the group with the calibre of players we have in our team.

“We have played all the three teams before. Unfortunately, we lost on the three occasions, but things have changed and we are better than then now. We have players playing in good leagues around the world and they are doing well. So, I am confident that Nigeria will qualify from the group."
