Manny Pacquiao is open to a rematch with Floyd Mayweather Jr later this year after responding to his rival’s earlier fight claim. Mayweather defeated Pacquiao via a unanimous points decision in their ‘Fight of the Century’ in May 2015 before retiring from boxing after his points win against Andre Berto that September.
The 41-year-old came out of retirement in August 2017 to face former UFC champion Conor McGregor in Las Vegas and secured a 10th-round stoppage against the Irishman to take his win record to 50-0.
That appeared to signal the end of Mayweather’s days as a fighter and he even rebuffed Pacquiao when the Filipino called him out following his world title win over Lucas Matthysse in July.
However, ‘Money’ posted a video of the pair on his Instagram page on Saturday with the caption: “I’m coming back to fight Manny Pacquiao this year. Another nine-figure-pay-day on the way.”
Pacquiao, who claimed a shoulder injury hampered him in their first meeting, responded hours later as he tweeted: “50-1 #NoExcuses”, along with a one-minute video of the duo speaking at a music festival in Tokyo.
The news of a potential rematch will be a hammer blow to Amir Khan who stressed his desire to fight Pacquiao ahead of British rivals Kell Brook.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
