Crystal Palace are ready to offer Jermain Defoe a route out of Bournemouth by taking him on loan for the remainder of the season.
Defoe has struggled for action with the Cherries this season, playing a total of 22 minutes in the Premier League, and move away to get more action could be on the cards.

“We’ll see what happens,” Defoe has been quoted as saying. “At the end of the day I’m a footballer and I like playing football. I’m not playing football at the minute so we’ll see what happens.”
There had been talk of Championship clubs such as Wigan, Nottingham Forest and Sheffield United making a move, but Palace could now offer him the chance to stay in the Premier League.
Eagles boss Roy Hodgson is known to be in the hunt for a new striker as Palace’s problems in front of goal have been well documented this season.
They have scored just 13, and Hodgson believes that 36-year-old Defoe, who has scored goals wherever he has been, could be the answer to their problems.
However it remains to be seen if Cherries boss Eddie Howe would consider loaning him to a Premier League rival, and is sure to want a replacement lined up first.Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
