Crystal Palace boss, Alan Pardew, has ruled himself out of the England job following the exit of Sam Allardyce, stating that the Selhurst Park is where he want to be, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Pardew who says he is "proud" to be linked with the England job, however backs caretaker boss Gareth Southgate to succeed on the job despite being  handed a four game ultimatum to prove his worth.

"England have a good manager in charge with Gareth. I have tremendous respect for him as a player, coach and manager," Pardew begins during his press conference on Thursday.

"Gareth has four games guaranteed and I hope he does well. I think he will do well.

"He will work very, very hard for England's players. These next few games are crucial for them."

Pardew whose side are unbeaten in their last four games is also looking forward to a reunion with Yannick Bolasie in Friday's game at Goodison, but prays the winger performs below par in the encounter.

Recall that the former West Ham boss sanctioned a £25m sale of the Congolese star in the summer.

"I love Yala. I just hope he doesn't have one of those super-duper games he can have," said Pardew.

"I look forward to seeing him. He has nothing to prove to us. Our fans still love him, but they're not happy Everton are singing his song."

He also confirmed that Wilfried Zaha is in contention to make a return from a hamstring injury while adding that he's looking forward to the battle of the Belgian forwards Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke and Everton's Romelu Lukaku.

He also disclosed that Jonathan Benteke will be out for three to four months with a knee injury picked up in training.

"Lukaku has Benteke's shirt for Belgium at the moment and Christian wants that shirt. He has brought assurance for the team."

The 55 year old gaffer also praised Everton's boss Ronald Koeman for his exploits with the Toffees who are currently fifth on the log.

"I think Ronald's got a good job there. They've bought very well, he's got good players and he's now an experienced Premier League manager," he adds.
