Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish is confident the club will take a step forward thanks to their four summer signings.
The Eagles wrapped up their transfer window business by landing Jordan Ayew on a season-long loan deal from Swansea City, the Ghana international joining Vicente Guaita, Cheikhou Kouyate and Max Meyer in making the switch to Selhurt Park.
As well as improving the options at Roy Hodgson’s disposal, the club also managed to retain the services of star man Wilfried Zaha, who was heavily linked with the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Tottenham and Chelsea.
Parish admits only time will tell whether this summer’s transfer window has been a success but is full of belief that they have made the right moves ahead of the new Premier League season getting underway on Saturday.
Parish told the official club website: “It’s been good I think, from where we’re sitting at the moment. You never really know until you look back.
“Thinking about the January 2017 one, that looks like a very, very good window now – especially for a January window. I think we’ll get the best out of all of those players this year, but we’ve already seen some very good things from Patrick, Jeffrey, Mamadou and Luka.
“This one will hopefully be as good, but the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Time will tell.”11 BUSINESS NUGGETS FROM SUPER EAGLES BRONZE MEDAL TRIUMPH. The content of this ebook will propel you above your competition. DOWNLOAD NOW!!!
