–Confident Nigeria will qualify for AFCON 2015
Former Nigeria international Pascal Patrick has expressed optimism that the Super Eagles will qualify for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, following Wednesday’s 3-1 defeat of the Jediane Falcons of Sudan.
The reigning African champions have so far struggled in the qualifying series but got their first win of the campaign over Sudan this past Wednesday.
But despite still being behind Congo and South Africa in Group A, Pascal believes the win over Sudan has opened the door for all the teams in the group and according to him, Nigeria should be one of the teams.
“That win over Sudan has really opened the door because it means any of the four teams can still qualify,” he said.
“And Nigeria certainly can still qualify, we just have to win the remaining games and that will leave us on ten points and with a very big chance of qualification.
