West Ham United boss Manuel Pellegrini insists he will do all he can to convince his critics he is the right man for the job. The Chilean has endured a torrid start in east London since he replaced David Moyes in the summer.
West Ham are the only team in the Premier League without a point and they will be in for a tough afternoon when they travel to Everton on Sunday.
The club’s board spent £100million in the summer on new recruits, and they have thrown their support behind the former Manchester City coach.
With the pressure on, Pellegrini insists he will do all he can to prove his worth.
He told Sky Sports: “These are moments that every club suffers at one time of the season. In our case, we are trying to change some things.
“I don’t think, if you have some doubts in the worst moment, you can continue working the same way. I must convince [everyone] what I am doing.
“I am absolutely convinced that if at the first problem, you change all the programme of the year and the style of football, then it is very difficult to grow. In the bad moments, everyone must be together.
“I understand I have the responsibility for all this. But I will not change my mentality because for many years in football I have been successful working in one way.
“Not two, three or four bad results will cause doubts, at least for me.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
