Two wins from nine games leaves them 18th in the table and they will be aiming to end a run of 20 away La Liga fixtures without a victory when they travel to Levante on Saturday.
However, after beating Real Vallecano and a drawing at Valencia either side of the international break, Pellegrino believes Los Pepineros are starting to find their feet following their initial struggles in adapting to his tactics.
“The team is improving,” he told reporters. “The reason is that there is more and more knowledge and adaptation between us and the results are increasing confidence.
“We want to continue growing, but it will be very difficult, they are in good shape and they are showing a lot of support for to win the games, they do not need much to score.”
