Phelan: We Wish Odubajo‎ Fitter, Better At End Of The Season

Hull City manager, Mike Phelan, is hoping injured Moses Odubajo returns to action a better player after suffering a setback in his rehabilitation reports, Completesportsnigeria.com.

Hull City take on Stoke City on Saturday, and Phelan revealed that the Nigerian born full back was weeks away from regaining full fitness until the unfortunate incident.

The 23-year-old will have surgery next week after fracturing a kneecap during a non-contact training session.

"Moses was in top condition and only a couple of weeks away," Phelan said during his pre-match conference on Friday.

“At the end of the session, he had a fall, which resulted in his patella being fractured.

"We all wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him, hopefully, at the end of the season.”

Odubajo joined Hull City for £3.5m in July 2015 and he made 45 appearances in the Championship as they won promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs.

The Tigers are currently 16th in the Premier League.
