Pillars Face Ghana’s U23 Ahead Champions League Clash

Nigeria champions Kano Pillars will take on Ghana’s U23 side on Sunday in a friendly match in continuation of their tour of Ghana, according to DailysoccerGhana.com.

The game against the Black Meteors is part of their preparation ahead of their CAF Champions League clash against South Sudan’s Al-Malakia which comes up on the weekend of February 13-15 at the Juba Stadium.


On Thursday, Pillars were held to a 2-2 draw by Hearts of Oak in one of their tune-up games. Christian Obiozor and Gambo Mohammedscored to give Pillars a 2-0 lead before Hearts drew level.

Pillars are expected back in the country on Monday, February 9 to round off their training ahead of their trip to South Sudan.

It would be recalled that Pillars took part in the Super-6 held in Abuja and which was won by the Flying Eagles.
