Pinnick, Giwa Absent From Office

–Both actors failed to start work yesterday in Abuja

Both the newly elected president of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick and the acclaimed winner of the August 26 election, Chris Giwa failed to show up at the Glass House secretariat of the NFF yesterday despite threat from Giwa.

The newly elected executive committee led by Amaju Pinnick was expected to assume office in Abuja yesterday but the staff who were all set to roll out the red carpet to welcome him left dejected when he failed to show up.

Giwa who had also boasted that he remained the NFF president until the court prove him otherwise was also nowhere near the Glass House yesterday and no reason was given for his not reporting in the office as earlier planned.

Staffs of the federation who were in high spirit to receive the newly elected president had to leave office at 5pm when it became obvious that Pinnick would no longer report.

“We are happy that we have a new president and that peace has returned to our football with the election. We want things to return to normal. We are tired of the tussle and will appreciate it if we have seen the last of the fight for the leadership of the federation” they stated.

Meanwhile, words have filtered in that the Amaju Pinnick led executive have rescheduled the resumption date to Wednesday October 8 to enabled them rest after the tedious election and celebrate the Sallah with their families.

Rest, which rest, after they put our football in the hole? They should come out of their holes and negotiate a favourable contract with Keshi and plan together on how to win the remaining of our matches of the AFCON qualifiers.

  • “negotiate a favorable contract with Ke$hi”. That will be the beginning of the end for them if they do that. Ke$hi is condemned to failure as the forces in the universe will never allow such an arrogant, pompous, vindictive, wicked and corrupt person to taste success again. Nigeria was destined to win the AFCON in 2013 and those who think Ke$hi had anything to do with it are deluding themselves. Look at his over-all record and you will see what I mean. Ke$hi has only won one game of the last eleven the SE have played and this agent masquerading as a coach (a PE teacher at best) wants a new contract? Where in the world is that done? It is time to move on from this man. He will never change. Most people learn from their past mistakes, but not him. Where are the “six countries” now? He is immature, unrefined, uncouth and lacks even the most basic of human relations skills.
