Nigerian Football Federation President Amaju Pinnick has been appointed the President of Africa Cup of Nations and Media Committees of the Confederation of African Football, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
At the first meeting of the new CAF President Ahmad Ahmad in Bahrain on Monday, the CAF Executive Committee confirmed Pinnick, a member of the executive committee of CAF, the head of the two committees.
"NFF President Amaju Pinnick has just been appointed President of Afcon and Media Committees of CAF," a tweet on the official handle of the NFF revealed on Monday.
Also Ghana FA President Kwesi Nyantakyi was also confirmed the first Vice President of the Confederation of African Football.
Nyantakyi who was recently re-elected as a FIFA Executive Committee member also becomes the first Ghanaian attain the position in African football.
Mr Constant Omari from Congo has also been named as second Vice President of CAF with more appointments expected to be announced later.
