The election is billed for September 20 in Katsina.

Pinnick is seeking a second term in office and he is contesting against Taiwo Ogunjobi, a former Secretary General of the Nigeria Football Federation and Aminu Maigari, the immediate past President of the NFF.

They also paid a visit to His Excellency Aminu Bello-Masari, governor of Katsina at the government house Katsina.

  • how are the going to do the election?

  • It is so unfortunate, pathetic and appalling.
The mallamization, politicization and northernization of everything in nigeria.

Before some of you start backing at me, must it get to seeking the backing of an emir who did not administer or played soccer at any level for nigeria.

Why not visit Tijani Babangida, Patric pascal, kanu nwankwo, Gorge Finindi,Segu Odegbami, Mutiu Adepoju etc?

    What a people we are.
    Shame on us Africans.

the reason why they visited the emir of katsina was because the election is scheduled to be held in katsina

  • Exactly Barlox. The question is why was Katsina selected to host the NFF board election? On what basis? Do we have any SE player or sports great from Katsina? We know if we’re talking north and social or official events, the first choices are Kano, Kaduna, Bauchi and Plateau. South-south it is Warri, Uyo, Calabar, Asaba and Portharcourt etc. Katsina and Sokoto only come into play when we’re talking politics and culture.

So, to me, this is all about politics. The only real relevance of Katsina in Nigeria today is Buhari. So, maybe since Buhari has refused to correct or remove the bull in the chinashop of Nigeria football, Dalung, Pinick and his board are trying to massage his ego and draw his attention by going to the president’s home state.

Maybe he will now take notice or listen to them too. Becos it seems at present, he’s only listening to Dalung and Giwa and silently backing them (if not for FIFA’s insistence). Yes, Buhari is backing Dalung and Giwa, that’s why Dalung has continued his naked dance of shame in the marketsquare with impunity. The only saving grace for Pinnick and his board is Infantino and Samoura in far away Switzerland.
