Pinnick, Sports Minister Head To Windhoek For Falcons

Nigeria’s Minister of Sports and Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Dr Tammy Danagogo and NFF President, Amaju Melvin Pinnick departed Nigeria on Friday night for Windhoek to cheer the senior women national team, Super Falcons, to victory in the final of the 9th African Women Championship.

The duo flew aboard a South African Airways aircraft from Lagos to Johannesburg and are scheduled to connect another South African Airways flight from Johannesburg to the Hosea Kutako International Airport, Windhoek, Namibia, on Saturday morning, Completesportsnigeria.com gathered.

The six-time African champions will confront the Lionesses of Cameroon in Saturday’s final for the AWC crown albeit both teams have qualified for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada between June 6 to July 5.

South Africa and Cote d’ Ivoire battle for Africa’s third ticket to the World Cup as they play in Saturday’s third-place match.
