Plateau United head coach Zachary Baraje is excited to see his side end FC IfeanyiUbah’s seven-game unbeaten run in the Nigeria Professional Football League following a 2-0 win against the visitors at the Rwang Pam Stadium, Jos in a matchday 30 fixture on Saturday, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
First half goals by Kabiru Umar and Anayo Ogbonaya aided the Jos-based side’s 2-0 victory against the Anambra Warriors.
The win also eased the Plateau United’s relegation worries as they moved from the 13th position to 11th in the table.
Baraje praised his side for their wonderful display in the game and tasked them to maintain the form in subsequent games.
“I must congratulate my boys for putting an end to FC IfeanyiUbah’s unbeaten run,” the former Akwa United boss told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“It’s not a small feat if one considers what they have done in recent games and the quality of players they have in their squad.
“It’s another step in our bid to effort to beat the drop and I look forward to us winning more games before the end of the season.”
