Born in Jos, Nigeria into the Obi’s family. John Micheal Obi started his football career at the age of 12 playing in the Pepsi Football Academy before playing for Plateau United. He has played for Ajax Cape Town of South Africa, Lyn Football of Norway and Chelsea FC of England. He is currently the captain of the Nigerian Senior National Team and plays for Tianjin TEDA.
