Mauricio Pochettino says he has no worries about the fitness of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane. Kane started England’s 1-0 friendly win over Switzerland at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday on the bench before being brought on in the 61st minute, a change that manager Gareth Southgate came in for criticism for.
Many believe the Spurs striker, who has scored two goals from four Premier League matches this season, deserved a rest after looking a little jaded in the 2-1 Nations League loss to Spain.
Speaking ahead of Tottenham’s home clash against Liverpool on Saturday, Pochettino says he has no issues with Kane’s condition and is confident his talisman will be ready if called upon.
“I think he’s fit. I’ve not read or listened to what’s going on around him, the most important thing for me is that we trust him, he’s one of the best strikers in the World. When a striker isn’t finding the net people need to try to find a reason why,” he told Sky Sports.
“Harry Kane for us is so important. [There’s] No doubt he’s one of the best players in England and Europe. Under our assessment he’s ready to play, of course that doesn’t mean he will.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
