Rivers Hoopers coach, Ogoh Odaudu has promised to make up for the lapses in his side when the second stanza of the 2016/2017 Kwese Premier Basketball League dunks off on Thursday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Kingsmen will resume the second round of the 2017/2018 Kwese Premier Basketball League with a home game against last season's finalist, Nigeria Customs on Thursday and Odaudu is hopeful his side will get a victory against Customs.
The Port Harcourt side ended the first round at the summit of the league table, winning six out of the seven games played, with their only loss against Lagos based Customs on Matchday 1.
The Hoopers have since maintained a winning sequence spanning six games going to the second round.
"If you were in Lagos with us you could see that it was because it was our first game. That’s why we lost that game. We had no business throwing that game away. We will come out and work on all the mistakes we made in that. I think you will see a better game, and hopefully, run away with a victory," Odaudu stated during his pre-match conference on Wednesday.
Customs are currently placed third on the Atlantic Conference table having won one game short of leaders Hoopers's six and will come up against two of their former stars, Emmanuel Balogun and Solomon Ajegbeyi in Thursday's game at the Basketball Court, 59 Niger Street, Port Harcourt.
