Later on the same day, Arsenal host Tottenham while Everton head to Anfield
The 14th round of matches in the FA Premier League promises three local derbies this coming Sunday (2 December) which should set the pulses racing. Chelsea look to get back on track against bottom club Fulham before Unai Emery faces a real test at Arsenal with the visit of Tottenham and Liverpool look to out one past old rivals Everton.
First things first
Before you go any further, head on over to the Oddsshark website, find your favourite betting site and get your own account up and running using your credit card. As a new customer and with the Premier League campaign already well underway, there should be a wide range of promotions and special offers available to you.
Where should I be investing my money?
First up, Chelsea welcome Fulham to Stamford Bridge looking to get their title challenge back on track. The Blues lost their first match of the league season last time out at Tottenham and have suffered a little wobble of late, dropping down to fourth in the table and a daunting seven points behind league leaders Manchester City.
Fulham, meanwhile, sit rock bottom of the league with just two wins to their name all season and the worst defensive record in the division, with 33 goals leaked already. They have brought in veteran coach Claudio Ranieri but this away game may be a step too far after he made a winning start at home to Southampton last time out.
Unsurprisingly, it is Chelsea who are the overwhelming favourites to pick up the points. You can back the home side to win at just 1.12, while Fulham are all the way out at 17.00 to pull off a shock victory – a draw is priced in the middle at 8.50, according to Oddsshark.
And Chelsea should win this clash with relative ease. A 3-0 win for the Blues is priced at 8.00, meaning that a US$5 bet would lead to a US$40 pay out, with Olivier Giroud at 1.95 to get on the score sheet.
Arsenal face stern Tottenham test
Next up, Arsenal face one of their sternest tests of recent weeks when local rivals Tottenham pay a visit to the Emirates Stadium. Following a rocky start to the season, which saw the Gunners lose to both Manchester City and Chelsea, Arsenal have now embarked on a hugely impressive 17-game unbeaten run across all competitions and are fifth in the league, just three points behind Tottenham.
Tottenham, by way of comparison, sit third in the table and are just three points behind Liverpool themselves. They can come into this match with morale on a high following three league wins on the bounce, including that hugely impressive 3-1 win over Chelsea last week.
And while the betting is close, it is Arsenal who come in as slight favourites to claim local bragging rights in this derby. You can more than double your money by backing Arsenal to win at 2.50, with Tottenham only slightly higher at 2.70 – a draw would appear to be the least likely outcome and is priced accordingly at 3.40.
And we are expecting Tottenham to edge a close encounter. A narrow, 2-1 win for the visitors is priced at 11.00, thereby offering more than a ten-fold return on any investment, while you could more than quadruple your money by backing a combo bet of a Spurs win coupled with both teams to score at 4.33.
Liverpool could go top with Everton win
Depending on other results, Liverpool could well go top of the league if they beat old rivals Everton at Anfield. The Reds are undefeated so far in the Premier League and sit just two points behind table toppers Manchester City, having conceded just five goals in 13 outings.
After a slow start to the season Everton have picked up in recent weeks and now sit sixth in the table, having gone three games unbeaten. They are unlikely to take anything from a game against a Liverpool side which is technically superior by far.
And it is indeed Liverpool who come into the derby as the red hot favourites to seal victory. You can back the Reds to take all three points at just 1.36, while Everton are all the way out at 9.00 to do the same – a draw is priced in the middle at 4.75.
This should be a fairly comfortable afternoon’s work for the home side. A 2-0 win for Liverpool comes in at 8.00, while you can more than double your money by backing under 2.5 goals in the game, which is priced at 2.37.
