Price Relaxed Ahead Of Challenge Cup Final

Warrington Wolves boss Steve Price admits he and his squad are in a confident mood ahead of Saturday’s Challenge Cup final. The Wire will take on Perpignan-based Catalans Dragons at Wembley as they look to win their first Challenge Cup for six years.

They are big favourites to win against Steve McNamara’s men despite the fact the French side defied the odds to thrash runaway Super League leaders St Helens in the semi-finals.
Warrington triumphed over Leeds in the last four and Price says the team have to remain relaxed and stick to their normal routine to avoid the occasion getting to them.

“There aren’t too many nerves at the moment. Everything is pretty relaxed,” he told the Warrington Guardian. “It’s been good for the players to get some familiarisation with the stadium, and what a fantastic stadium it is.

“We feel it’s one of the best stadiums in the world and we are looking forward to the challenge.

“It’s going to be an electric atmosphere and hopefully there will be a lot of supporters coming down from Warrington to cheer on the boys.

“It’s important that we try and stick to the routine as much as we can and that’s exactly what we’ve done.”
