PSG Agree €155m Mbappe Fee With Monaco

French club Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly agreed a €155m (£143m) fee with Monaco for teenage striker Kylian Mbappe.

PSG, who have already spent €222m (£198m) on Neymar this summer, have also agreed personal terms with Mbappe, but they have not convinced UEFA that they will be able to comply with financial fair play rules if they sign the France striker, according to The Guardian.

Mbappe, 18, only shot to prominence last season after helping Monaco reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League and win the Ligue 1 title.

If the deal gets done, Mbappe will become the second most expensive player ever behind Neymar, overtaking Moussa Dembele who joined Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund only on Friday for an initial €105m (£97m).

We will try to help [the clubs understand the rules]. We (will try to advise them on FFP. But if they don’t comply we will punish, and we will punish severely.”

H “I am not talking about [just] PSG. I am talking about every club in Europe. We are monitoring the situation, the transfer window is not closed yet. Trust me, we’re working on it.”
