PSG Slam Bayern For Boateng Pursuit

Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has criticised Paris Saint Germain’s negotiating tactics in their hunt for defender Jerome Boateng.

The French giants were keen to sign the Germany stopper during the summer but a deal could not be completed before the window slammed shut.

The Bavarians slapped a hefty price tag on the former Manchester City star and made it clear they were keen for him to remain with them.

It seems as though PSG’s representative in the talks, sporting director Antero Henrique, is no longer on Bayern’s Christmas card list after negotiations turned sour.

“I would advise PSG to replace their sporting director. The man is not a great advert for the club,” Hoeness told Kicker. “PSG cannot afford to have such a sporting director if they want to be one the best clubs in the world.

“We asked for this fee because we did not want to hand over Jerome and assumed that Paris would not pay that amount. We also wanted to do our coach a favour because he wanted to keep the player.”
