Nigeria Football Federation, NFF is set to agree a kits sponsorship deal with sports kits manufacturing giants Puma after talks with former sponsors collapsed finally.
Complete Sports scooped that the NFF approached Puma and Nike to become the new sponsor of National teams after Adidas refused to renew the contract with Nigeria.
Official sources revealed that one of the two sponsors approached, Puma seemed to be showing more interest in the deal and though Nike is preferred by the NFF while the Puma deal is more attractive and they may just get it as soon as the two parties agree on terms.
“Puma is anxious to kit the Super Eagles and other of our national teams because they know it is a big catch to kit Nigeria that is always involved in world and Africa championships. They are favourites to get it if their offer is better than Nike’s offer.
“We are still discussing with the two kits manufacturing giants and we are also open to other sponsors. We are making some progress and very soon, the NFF will seal a sponsorship deal with one of them and unveil the new kits of our national teams” our official source disclosed
